Epic: Fire [pt 3]

Chronicles 7:1
As soon as Solomon finished his prayer, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

Fire:
1. a state, process, or instance of combustion in which fuel orother material is ignited and combined with oxygengiving off light, heat, and flame.
2. burning passionexcitement or enthusiasm; ardor
3. brilliance, as of a gem
Strong. Energy. Ignites. Heat.
Striking the earth, bolt meets dry fuel erupting brilliant flame.

As eyes watched the lightning flared until at once it's course directed down, colliding with tree which had grown tall and proud.

Quiet. Smoke. Flame. Burns
The jolt pulses and heat kindles, to catch a fire within a tree.

The tree bursts into light, a brilliant display against dark skies. First small strands of twisting smoke rise from thee, then wind feeds ember and flame is birthed.

Consuming. Fire. Breathe. Outgrown.
As poured out amidst dry wood the blaze ignites, spreading from branch to brach tree to tree.

Set a fire down in my soul that I can't contain, that I can't control. Burn away the dross, Holy fire of God.

1 Kings 18:37-39
"Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, “The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.”

Epic: Lightning [pt 2]

Revelation 4:5
"From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder..."

Lightning:
1. the occurrence of a natural electrical discharge of very short duration and high voltage between a cloud and the ground or within a cloud, accompanied by a bright flash, and typically also thunder.

2. brilliantelectric discharge in the atmosphere, occurring within a thundercloud, between clouds, or between a cloud and the ground.

Darkness. Night. Clouds. No stars.
Wind moves as a tumble weed, across earths' expanse.

In the still of night I sat on my porch watching as, seemingly miraculous, display of God's power performed beyond an hour.  Everything still and quite, not even the sound of thunder dared more than whisper.

Uncontrollable. Storm. Electricity. Indescribable.
Light explodes in veins of power, making the sky like black marble.

From the energy a light, emitted across the dark blanket, illuminating forms unseen for but a second. Just as quickly as radiance pierced through the heavens, it becomes absorbed into the unknown.

Stunning. Bolt. Affects. Powerful.
So distant and untouchable it seems, the path directed elsewhere, eagerly danger is welcomed.

Cloud to cloud the lightning is bat as eruption follows the word of thunder. Until the flare chooses to remain, turning to earth and kindles.

Glory. Lightning. Alive. Fire burning.
Fall down on us, we pray, do not keep your power locked in the game of realms above. Release to catch flame on earth, that Your heart may set it in ours.

That my voice be the thunder calling upon heaven to render lightning, that a
brilliant electric spark would come. Brining with it life changing jolt - fire to extend through rain.

(No video, just sound)

---
Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

Epic: Joel [pt 1]

The Day of the Lord Joel 2:1-11

"Blow a trumpet in Zion;
sound an alarm on my holy mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble,
for the day of the
Lord is coming; it is near,a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and thick darkness!
Like blackness there is spread upon the mountains
a great and powerful people;
their like has never been before,
nor will be again after them
through the years of all generations.
Fire devours before them,
and behind them a flame burns.
The land is like the garden of Eden before them,
but behind them a desolate wilderness,
and nothing escapes them.
Their appearance is like the appearance of horses,
and like war horses they run.
As with the rumbling of chariots,
they leap on the tops of the mountains,
like the crackling of a flame of fire
devouring the stubble,
like a powerful army
drawn up for battle.
Before them peoples are in anguish;
all faces grow pale.
Like warriors they charge;
like soldiers they scale the wall.
They march each on his way;
they do not swerve from their paths.
They do not jostle one another;
each marches in his path;
they burst through the weapons
and are not halted.
They leap upon the city,
they run upon the walls,
they climb up into the houses,
they enter through the windows like a thief.
The earth quakes before them;
the heavens tremble.
The sun and the moon are darkened,
and the stars withdraw their shining.
The Lord utters his voice
before his army,
for his camp is exceedingly great;
he who executes his word is powerful.
For the day of the
Lord is great and very awesome;
who can endure it?"

So Moved

My heart and soul are So moved...

Tonight the Lord brought me to remember The Call Nashville 7.7.07

That date and experience I will never forget. Yet I seem to forget the magnificent way God showed up. The way He came into me like never before. The way He spoke to me, and how He pulled me to Himself. Any time I stumble upon the videos and recordings from that day I watch anew, captivated by His power. By the awe of that experience. The way Holy Spirit comes upon me each time.

I sit, trying to pull together, words to describe the feelings I have right now...

Awe.

Heart-ache.

Hunger.

Overwhelmed.

GOD.

SO desperate for HIM.
Longing to be there again.

Prayer.

Praise.

Remembrance.

Glory.

so moved to tears...

He is Awesome, Powerful, Gentle and Mighty!
My heart cries out like the Lion of Judah...

Crying out for More
GOD!

A couple clips from the day: (above) following the song Let It Rain, a time of Spirit-led intercession. (below) the last "event" of the day -the sound of "rain" is really the sound of the thousands of us shaking keys and praying. the Sound of the outcry we made literally shook the stadium seats - not that anyone really noticed.
God's presence was so thick throughout the entire day, and as you can see a little bit in this second clip, it ended in a "Holy Spirit Dance Party." Glory!
