Snowy Kansas City and life as an IHOP intern!

It's been 3 weeks since my last post, and yet it feels like just a couple days ago. The weeks fly past here like a snowflake in the wind with hardly a chance to stick and melt.

Woke up this morning to 2-3 inches of snow blanketing Kansas City!
The last few weeks have been astounding! I've spent over 100 hours in the prayer room in the last 3 weeks doing nothing more than prayer and worship. The last few weeks I've also been attending lectures on the book of Revelation and End times, learning about God's love for Israel and the Jewish people and Mike Bickle has started up the continuation of his series entitled, "Jesus: Our Magnificent Obsession." The quality of time spent here at IHOP is so worthwhile! I am loving every minute of it even though it has been filled with challenges. While soaking in the prayer room, I have had the opportunity to face several issues, wounds, and misconceptions that I've gathered over the last few years; spending time in the Word and applying scripture to the condition of my heart has been an incredible time of healing. Through the lectures, and ministry of Holy Spirit in the prayer room, I can literally see the change in myself as I am building up the foundation of Christ's love and growing in the knowledge of Him, that I not serve and minister in zeal alone. (Romans 10:2)

Because I believe it does such a good job at defining my life at this time and the life that I am learning to live daily, I have written out Romans 12 below. It's a very short chapter and I encourage you to read through it, and maybe later to spend some time really praying into the depth of this passage.

Romans 12:1-21 ESV

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

May the Lord bless you abundantly this week as He fills you with the love and joy of His word!
I'll soon be posting a little something special in honor of my 21st Birthday which was on the 15th!! (exciting huh?!)

My buddies, Jasmine and Bella, keeping me company on the couch today! They greet me at the door every night, leave stuffed mice as presents for my room, and love to cozy up with me whenever I'm around. Love'm! :)
Love Always
